논문쓸 때, 유용한 듯

important: 어떻게 중요한지, 얼마나 중요한지 애매할 때 일반적으로 쓰임
essential: 없으면 바로 문제가 생길만큼 중요하지만 대체할 수 는 있음
crucial: 중요도는 essential과 비슷하나, 대체불가능한 것
vital: 생명을 유지하기 위해 중요하다는 것
key: 문제 해결을 위해 중요한

That is important to everyone here

safe bets가 성공할 가능성이 큰 것, 안전한 것이란다..

예문찾아보니, 이런 것이 있음~

research에서는 뭐가 'safe bets'일까?
ACL에서 발표된 논문들 중에서 대가 그룹들이 발표한 것 말고, 완전 새로운 것이
가끔 있는데, (방법론이 완전 새로운 건 그래도, 기존 문제를 푸는 것이니 그나마
괜찮은데... 그런거 말고 푸는 문제 자체가 새로운 것들은 자칫하면 팽~ 당할 것들인데)
이런건  'safe bets'만 생각하면 나올 수 없는 연구들이다.
근데, 그런 연구는 대부분 사람들이 그닥 안 좋아한다...
"말도 안된다!"라고 해버리는 것들...
흠~
나도 혹시 후배들에게 그러지 않을려나~ 걱정이 된다
나도 머리 좀 굵어지고, 왠만한 것들 다 봤다는 마인드로 새로운 것 못 생각하는 나이가
된게 아닐까~
그런 걸 경계하려면, 완전 새로운 분야 책이나 문화를 봐야하는데, 쉽지 않다. @.@

가끔 새로운 것들이 많은 거리로 나가 '연구' 아이디어를 얻자!

Doctor Who season 6: The girl who waited

이번시즌 베스트라고 점쳐지는 에피소드였다..
아 ~ 폭풍 감동...

살면서 한번쯤 다시 젊은 시절로 돌아갈 수 있다면....
하는 생각을 하는데~
그렇게 되면, 이제껏 했던 경험은 모두 기억에서 사라지게 될테고~

언젠가, 다시 학부생으로 돌아가고 싶다면 갈거냐?
하는 질문에 "노"라는 답을 얻었었는데..
그 나이로 돌아간다고 해서 지금 후회되는 걸 안하리란 생각이
안들어서였다.
어차피, 그 나이에 겪게되는 고민과 방황은 똑같을 것이기 때문에..
ㅎㅎ 어째 이번 에피소드 주제와 잠깐 빗나간 것 같긴 한데~

대학원 생활하면서, 힘들 때 학부생으로 돌아가면 그냥 취직했을까?
하는 생각을 해보는데, 아닌 것 같다.
때론, 아프지만,.. 지금의 '나'가 좋다.
그리고, 사랑하는 승찬이도 만나게 됐으니~ ^^

이번 에피소드에 나왔던 영어표현들, 넘 좋아서 SMI파일에서
